we are folklore

Inspired by reverence for the natural world and a desire to reconnect with Spirit, we craft meaningful ceremonies for life’s transitions. The rhythms of nature, cycles of the moon, the elements of our earth, and ancient practices of celebrating and marking time guide us as we work with clients to create unique and memorable moments of true community with friends and loved ones.

We are rebirthing a consciously crafted culture, growing deep roots that are sustained by true community connections to one another and the land we live on. No longer using mass consumerism and stolen culture to fill our spirits, instead we are celebrating universal experiences that anchor us and allow us to flourish.

Let’s create new stories together.

  • My greatest joy is holding space for people to fall in love with themselves. I believe we are constantly creating ourselves through movement, connection, and curiosity. I have taught yoga in Sacramento for seven years, exchanging love and energy with yogis aged three to eighty three. Through this work, I have seen profound change in my life and the lives of others, and this is what I hope to share.

An intentional relationship with the natural world helps ground us in what really matters. Mother Nature reminds us that she is abundant and this awareness trickles out into everything we experience. I believe that cooperation, connection, and grounding are the key to moving forward as a society. By creating opportunities for these values to take root and grow, we are building a better world.

Meet the Team

With a shared reverence for ritual and beauty, and a foundational belief in creating community, the Rach(a)els™ have come together to form Folklore. After years of allowing their acquaintance and then friendship marinate, they’ve discovered the ease of working together towards a common vision.

  • Alway destination before journey, always in a rush to the end, never in the moment, I sought ways to be present and mindful. Ritual and ceremony have become my path to that actualization.

The art I make, the rituals I create, the gatherings I guide, all serve the purpose of slowing down, allowing me and those I shepherd to deeply and earnestly connect on this path with those who came before, those who are with us now, and gently lead us beyond this life.

I find the withering as beautiful as the bloom and seek to celebrate the cycles of death and life, the rhythm of seasons, the endless destructive and creative energy of the universe through everything I do.

As a ritualist, creator of ceremonial art, deathworker, lover of herbs, and aspiring Witch of the Wilds I welcome you into my community and look forward to connecting.
